Brand Development Strategies

The need to consider your brand strategy often arises from one of four business drivers.

  1. Need for a new brand
  2. Extension of an existing brand
  3. Development and integration of multiple brands
  4. Extension of product line(s)

Any of these natural business evolutions creates an opportunity to engage a broader and more diverse audience that can grow your business. This is the ultimate goal of any brand strategy engagement.

Brand Strategy Framework

Digital experiences and branding projects get really sloppy without a disciplined, contextually aware design process.

Kaleidico has developed a design process that uniquely blends decades of experience, exceptional talent, extensive collaboration and intense focus on organizational and user goals.

We design and develop your brand through

  • Collaborating as partners – We like to check-in frequently. We don’t see a separation between our team and our clients – we are partners, on the same team, adopting and sharing the same goals and values to create something awesome together.
  • Deep discovery – Through stakeholder interviews and workshops with audit and explore the inherent brand values and culture. This exploration then extends to market analysis to see how your audience is already interacting with your current brand. Ultimately, this process culminates into a Creative Brief – our project and brand playbook going forward.
  • Brand strategy and design – This is the creative heart of the engagement. We will be actively experimenting, conceptualizing, contextualizing, and iterating design ideations to solve the problems defined in the Creative Brief. This process can’t happen without you, so we will have frequent check-in and collaboration sessions to help push the creative work.
  • Brand Hand-off – At the end of the project, we want to make sure to arm our partners with everything they will need to use their brand. We produce a Brand Book that includes everything created during Brand Strategy and Design. This document will give you everything you need to execute your new brand – from messaging, voice, tone, logo restrictions, colors, typography.

Brand Elements & Strategies

Branding Creates Trust Within The Marketplace

A professional appearance and well-strategized branding will help the company build trust with consumers, potential clients, and customers. People are more likely to do business with a company that has a polished and professional portrayal.

Branding Generates New Customers

A good brand will have no trouble drumming up the referral business. Strong branding means there is a positive impression amongst the right consumers for you. They are likely to do business with you because of the familiarity and trust you. Once a brand has been well-established, word of mouth can be the company’s most effective advertising technique.

Branding Makes Consistency Easier & Faster

Having a clear and well-documented brand makes for more consistent and faster business decisions.

When executing marketing materials, for example, knowing your brand’s voice and visuals are much easier than starting from scratch.

Branding Improves Employee Pride & Satisfaction

When an employee works for a strongly branded company and truly stands behind the brand, they will be more satisfied with their job and have a higher degree of pride in the work that they do. Having a branded office, which can often help employees feel more satisfied and have a sense of belonging to the company, can be achieved by using promotional merchandise for your desktop.

Brand Awareness

Going from customers that pragmatically purchase your product to sales that are generated by and through passionate customer evangelist is a game-changer. This switch is a combined effort between high-quality product development and compelling brand awareness campaigns.

Understanding how you intend to create this awareness is essential to your positioning and feeds into your marketing and content strategy.

Brand Positioning

A position is a narrow definition of what you do, how you do it, and why you do it. It differentiates your company or firm, creating a unique place in the market. In order to figure out that position, help you craft unique positioning statements.

Positioning statements are typically used for internal teams to guide the marketing and operating decisions of their business. A positioning statement helps the team make key decisions that affect your customer’s perception of your brand.

Brand Marketing

Advocating your brand, building awareness, and reinforcing positioning are achieved through brand marketing. Too often companies assume that brand awareness is a freebie. This is fundamentally flawed logic that can disadvantage your competitive position and miss the opportunity to allocate an appropriate amount of your marketing budget to what is guaranteed to be your highest Return on Advertising Spend (ROAS).

Some of the most common and efficient marketing tactics for brand marketing include Google Ads, Facebook Ads, re-marketing in both Google and Facebook, SEO/Content marketing, and email campaigns and lead nurturing.

Brand Content Strategy

No brand exists without a readily identifiable voice and tone. The clarity and consistency of your message and how you communicate your product to the market creates a sticky brand. In our brand engagement, Kaleidico puts a uniquely heavy emphasis on developing a common language for the brand.

This language is documented in our voice and tone document and is intended to be consistently applied across website and landing page copy, blog posts, and articles, as well as social media, video, podcasts, webinars, and any other media the company or team members create.
